Orange County, NY/Aubrey’s First Birthday [Cake Smash]

“Dream big, little girl.”

Today Aubrey turns ONE!

We started the celebration a few weeks ago by diving into a pretty pink cake made by Erin of You’re The Boss Events. Judging by Aubrey’s facial expressions it must have been a delicious cake!

When I showed up to the shoot, Aubrey was dressed in nothing better than a tutu… everyone knows how I love my tutus! Oh and that sequenced headband- yaaaas- everything I love!

Aubrey just hung around like a natural with her beautiful big blue eyes ready to get her photo taken. Aunt Caitlin and big sister Emma blew some bubbles for us and mommy made sure to keep the smiles coming.

Happy Birthday to Aubrey- may all your wishes come true!

Fresh 48/Lawrence Hospital [Ava Rose]

Welcome to the world, Ava Rose!

When I look at these pictures I still can’t believe that I was able to capture this precious time for one of my closest friends. It was such an honor to see Lori within her first 48 hours after giving birth- to even attempt to explain the emotions I felt witnessing my friend soak up all the joys of having a newborn is impossible.

Lori was glowing when I entered her hospital room! Knowing how eager I was to meet Ava, she immediately let me soak up some lovin. Ava loved the snuggles and melted into anyone who would hold her. What better way to spend the day?!

I am looking forward to many more snuggles from Ava in the near future. Needless to say, my heart is still swooning.

The Fresh 48 sessions may easily become one of my favorite sessions! Are you interested in doing a Fresh 48? Contact me at -I would LOVE to document this sweet time for you.

Couple’s Valentine’s Day Session/Goshen, NY [Michelle & Bill]

I’m  firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Michelle is a LuLaRoe consultant and a few months ago she donated a gift certificate to a foundation that was near and dear to both of our hearts. That was the first time I met Michelle- talk about a great first impression!

A few weeks ago I had teamed up with Nikki {LipSense} for a giveaway. So when Michelle had won the giveaway I couldn’t have been more excited!

Michelle decided to keep the session just her and her husband, Bill, saying that it had been years since they had done photos of just the two of them. We had so much fun together and Michelle looked gorgeous as she twirled in her LuLaRoe dress. Have you ever spun around in one of their dresses? It’s perfect for twirling!

I am in love with these photos and am so glad that Michelle and Bill decided to take the time for just the two of them!

Valentine’s Day/Goshen, NY

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to have some Valentine’s Day fun with these cuties.

Remember those few weeks where it was like 6 degrees every day?! I knew eventually we’d have “normal winter weather” one day soon. And then finally… the day of our session it felt normal. Temperatures were in the thirties! I took advantage of this weather and took these girls outside for some pictures and then we went inside to warm up with hot chocolate and made some Valentine’s day cards.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Spread love today and every day!

Fun Facts

So as you all know I am fairly new to doing this on my own! But I thought it would be fun to give you a little insight as to what has been going on behind the scences here. Pretty much everyone knows that I am learning from Erin Lane Photography and she has taught me SO MUCH. I’ve been lucky enough to have been working with her for quite awhile. So here are some fun facts you may not know about Amanda Lane Photography!

Fun Events:

In March I attended The Garrison Bridal Expo with Erin. It was so awesome watching Erin meet new clients!

Go Erin!!!

Erin and I also attended a Blogging Workshop put on by Alex of Idalia Photography. Great workshop and the building was beautiful! 2018-01-06_00282018-01-06_0029

H E L L O 2018! {End of 2017}

In July I had a crazy thought. Let’s STOP thinking about starting photography on my own and just DO IT! As most of you know, I have been working with Erin Lane Photography for a few years now [Assisting, Second Shooting & Blogging], and finally decided to give it a go on my own. Thank you to Erin, for being my mentor and for encouraging me to take a big leap of faith. You are an amazing mentor and I look forward to learning more from you.

Since July I have photographed some amazing families and have had so much fun seeing everyone get comfortable in front of the camera and show their true colors.  Seeing laughter and the love between families/couples is something that will always make me smile.

Huge shout out to the dancers of D’Antono Dance Academy – seeing your passion has been amazing. You are all beautifuuuul!

Thank you to everyone who made this possible in 2017! I am excited to see what 2018 will bring!

Have fun scrolling through the images I’ve taken in 2017… including some of my own trips and animals!

Salesian Park/Christmas Mini Session/Goshen, NY {Schroeder Family}

My last session of the day gives my eyes the heart emoji. I’m lucky to say I know this family personally and these pictures show how truly loving, fun and carefree they actually are. James brings out everyone’s silly sides and keeps us all on our toes. Big sister Bella knows how to take care of James and both of them truly appreciate the other one.

Nikki and Jim- thank you for having so much fun capturing these images!

Salesian Park/Christmas Mini Sessions/Goshen, NY {Latoya & Richie}

One of my sessions of the day were Latoya and Richie’s family.

These siblings are the best of friends and love running around together. They had so much fun getting swung in the air by both mommy and daddy. And look at those matching Yankee fitted hats- I loved it!

Thank you to Latoya and Richie for allowing me to capture these fun times!
