Goshen, New York Family Session

I love when I get to photograph families and see them again and again. Building relationships with my clients is something that is very important to me!

Just as the weather was beginning to get a little colder, I met Kathy and her family at a park in Goshen, New York. We had a lot of rain a few days prior to the session but that did not stop us! Emma and Aubrey stayed warm by cuddling up with mommy and daddy and squishing together for a “family burrito” shot! We took a few pictures under the Evergreen trees and then we ran around and had fun in the field.

Hudson Valley Fresh 48

Teagan Jo

I LOVE Fresh 48 sessions. There’s always some magic in the room when you are adding a new member to the tribe, whether it is your first, third or fifth baby… it’s magic. People can’t help but stare and smile at the life before them. They’re soaking up the love and also giving all of their love.

Chelsy and Joe welcomed new baby Teagan Jo in late August and I was lucky enough to capture my good friend’s maternity session and now her Fresh 48. Callan quickly fell into role of big brother and did not hesitate to show off his yellow trucks and let them zoom around Teagan as she was sound asleep. He proudly held her and kept a huge grin on his face the entire time.

Congratulations to this new family of four!

Hudson Valley Cake Smash

Abram is ONE!

Growing up being best friends with Allie, I knew her sister and her whole family. When I heard that her sister, Becky was having her first baby I knew Allie would be over the moon! Lucky me- I got to meet Abram right before his first birthday! And let me tell you- he is such a cutie!

Mommy, daddy and Abram traveled from Massachusetts  to visit with Nana and Grandpa right before Abram’s first birthday. Mommy told me she wanted to do a “Where the Wild Things Are” theme shoot and I was THRILLED! Who didn’t love that book growing up? Of course I thought it was perfect.

\We set up a teepee (made by Jeremy of @morganmadewoodwork), and surrounded it with pictures of Abram as a baby, had his one year old stats on display, and made sure he had the tail and crown to go along with the theme. And of course we did a cake smash-the very first time Abram had cake!

Happy first birthday to this little man. So glad I got to meet a such a close friend’s little nephew! Thank you to Becky and Adam for trusting me to capture these images!

The Artola Family

Everyone meet the Artola family! I met this family a few weeks ago at a local park, tucked in between the trees. As soon as we were about to leave the park, I HAD to ask them pull over for one last shot! The sky was so bright and pretty!

Ahhh! These brothers were absolutely adorable! They were so eager to share their own stories, so I got to hear a lot about their teachers, their school year and what their summer plans were.

The love they have for their mommy and daddy is so sweet too! Enjoy!

Tyler, Felicia & Freya

I can’t even begin to tell you the fun that I had with Tyler, Felicia and Freya! And mommy and Freya wore my favorite thing- a tutu! They looked so adorable in their matching outfits.

Freya and I became friends quickly! We collected sticks to make a little campfire, made S’mores over the “fire”, acted like pandas and ate “bamboo” and took a walk together.

At the end of the session Tyler, Felicia and Freya sat down and had a lollipop party! I hung around and snapped some photos having fun. Of course I had a lollipop too that was selected by Freya and we had to compare the colors of our tongues after eating them. Daddy and Freya had a lot of fun pretending to be walruses too.

Enjoy the images and thank you to Tyler, Felicia and Freya for having fun and hanging around the park with me for hours!

Angie, Ricky & Jax

Do you want to bring your dog to your session? The answer is YESSS, you can certainly bring your pup. They are apart of your family too, right?!

Say hello to Angie, Ricky & their sweet baby; Jax, a purebred German Shepard. What amazed me about Jax was that he was able to hang around without a leash- are you lucky enough to be able to do that with your dog?  Jax was so sweet and just hung close to everyone and joined in on kisses and snuggles.

One final thought- do you ever meet people for the first time and leave them feeling good? That’s how I left this couple- their laughter was contagious and they give off so much positive energy. To Angie & Ricky- thank you, thank you, thank you! You were so much fun to work with!

Amanda, Brendan & Aubrey

Amanda and Brendan are high school sweethearts and now have a daughter, Aubrey who is just a little over a year old. She is just the cutest little thing- full of curiosity and smiles and has a deep love for their pug, Eli! She thinks he is just the funniest thing and loves watching him with that bright smile on her face.

As Aubrey wandered the park she explored the water, threw rocks in the water and picked flowers. And then…  a teacher’s dream came true- she walked over to her bag and picked up her books! So what did we do? We sat on the grass and let Aubrey read to mommy, daddy and Eli!

Enjoy the images and don’t forget to say goodbye to Aubrey at the end! 😉

I had such a great time hanging with Taylor, Justin and their beautiful daughter Mila. Mila had so much fun hanging out with both mommy and daddy. Daddy said to Mila in the beginning; “Just be yourself. Do ‘Mila’ things”, I thought; “That is the BEST thing ever”. And sure enough, Mila had a blast running around the park, picking flowers and getting tickled by mommy and daddy. I followed them around the pond while they explored; Daddy picked up turtles and Mila sat on mommy’s shoulders. Enjoy!

H E L L O 2018! {End of 2017}

In July I had a crazy thought. Let’s STOP thinking about starting photography on my own and just DO IT! As most of you know, I have been working with Erin Lane Photography for a few years now [Assisting, Second Shooting & Blogging], and finally decided to give it a go on my own. Thank you to Erin, for being my mentor and for encouraging me to take a big leap of faith. You are an amazing mentor and I look forward to learning more from you.

Since July I have photographed some amazing families and have had so much fun seeing everyone get comfortable in front of the camera and show their true colors.  Seeing laughter and the love between families/couples is something that will always make me smile.

Huge shout out to the dancers of D’Antono Dance Academy – seeing your passion has been amazing. You are all beautifuuuul!

Thank you to everyone who made this possible in 2017! I am excited to see what 2018 will bring!

Have fun scrolling through the images I’ve taken in 2017… including some of my own trips and animals!

Salesian Park/Christmas Mini Session/Goshen, NY {Schroeder Family}

My last session of the day gives my eyes the heart emoji. I’m lucky to say I know this family personally and these pictures show how truly loving, fun and carefree they actually are. James brings out everyone’s silly sides and keeps us all on our toes. Big sister Bella knows how to take care of James and both of them truly appreciate the other one.

Nikki and Jim- thank you for having so much fun capturing these images!
