Hudson Valley Cake Smash

Abram is ONE!

Growing up being best friends with Allie, I knew her sister and her whole family. When I heard that her sister, Becky was having her first baby I knew Allie would be over the moon! Lucky me- I got to meet Abram right before his first birthday! And let me tell you- he is such a cutie!

Mommy, daddy and Abram traveled from Massachusetts  to visit with Nana and Grandpa right before Abram’s first birthday. Mommy told me she wanted to do a “Where the Wild Things Are” theme shoot and I was THRILLED! Who didn’t love that book growing up? Of course I thought it was perfect.

\We set up a teepee (made by Jeremy of @morganmadewoodwork), and surrounded it with pictures of Abram as a baby, had his one year old stats on display, and made sure he had the tail and crown to go along with the theme. And of course we did a cake smash-the very first time Abram had cake!

Happy first birthday to this little man. So glad I got to meet a such a close friend’s little nephew! Thank you to Becky and Adam for trusting me to capture these images!

Amanda, Brendan & Aubrey

Amanda and Brendan are high school sweethearts and now have a daughter, Aubrey who is just a little over a year old. She is just the cutest little thing- full of curiosity and smiles and has a deep love for their pug, Eli! She thinks he is just the funniest thing and loves watching him with that bright smile on her face.

As Aubrey wandered the park she explored the water, threw rocks in the water and picked flowers. And then…  a teacher’s dream came true- she walked over to her bag and picked up her books! So what did we do? We sat on the grass and let Aubrey read to mommy, daddy and Eli!

Enjoy the images and don’t forget to say goodbye to Aubrey at the end! 😉

Byyyyye! Thanks for stopping by!

H E L L O 2018! {End of 2017}

In July I had a crazy thought. Let’s STOP thinking about starting photography on my own and just DO IT! As most of you know, I have been working with Erin Lane Photography for a few years now [Assisting, Second Shooting & Blogging], and finally decided to give it a go on my own. Thank you to Erin, for being my mentor and for encouraging me to take a big leap of faith. You are an amazing mentor and I look forward to learning more from you.

Since July I have photographed some amazing families and have had so much fun seeing everyone get comfortable in front of the camera and show their true colors.  Seeing laughter and the love between families/couples is something that will always make me smile.

Huge shout out to the dancers of D’Antono Dance Academy – seeing your passion has been amazing. You are all beautifuuuul!

Thank you to everyone who made this possible in 2017! I am excited to see what 2018 will bring!

Have fun scrolling through the images I’ve taken in 2017… including some of my own trips and animals!

Christmas Mini Session/Salesian Park {Lashay, Jayden & Jordan}

Oh  my goodness! So much love for Mom! I’ve been dying to share this session for two reasons; 1.) I love seeing such a strong connection between a mother and her sons and 2.) Wait till you see how much love mom gets! I had so much fun with Lashay, Jayden and Jordan. Jayden and Jordan were natural models and had so much fun in front of the camera.

Thank you Lashay for letting me capture these moments!

Family/Maternity Session/Town of Wallkill Park, NY

Everyone meet Mason! Mason is soon going to be a big brother to a very lucky little girl. Mason will surely make an amazing big brother.

Mason is such a curious boy, he walked around and picked up pine cones and sticks and enjoyed throwing stones into the water. I’m sure Mason will love having a little sister to now be curious with.

To Mason, Crystal and Mike: I am so excited to watch your family grow. May you enjoy the next few weeks as a family of 3 and congratulations on welcoming your 4th family member!

Dance/D’Antono Dance Academy/Pine Island, New York

Last weekend I spent some time at D’Antono Dance Academy with the gorgeous girls. We had so much fun trying out different poses all over the studio. These girls are SO talented and SO flexible!

Enjoy my sneak peak of the few girls I met for the first round of pictures!

Salisbury Mills//Newly Adopted Puppy//Couples Portraits

Dogs need a newborn announcement too, right?! Well that’s exactly what we did! Congratulations to Lauryn & Pat as you embark on your new journey of being parents to a four legged fur baby (the best kind)!

Ruby, a 14 week old black lab mix had SO much fun running around. She couldn’t contain her excitement once she realized she was star of the show! Lauryn & Pat came fully stocked with treats, water and toys for Ruby and she got to run the show! Just like any star, Ruby needed a few breaks/nap time too. While she napped, I stole the proud parents away for some pictures.

It is obvious that Ruby loves snuggling with her parents and will do anything for a treat. The laughter and smiles she gave us were endless.

My wish for Ruby is that you are always a curious pup who sees the joy in running around in fields making people laugh! And to the parents, congratulations and good luck! You picked a good one from the litter!

Earl Reservoir Park, Monroe, NY [Anniversary Session]

I love when there is a reason to take photos, whether the pictures are done on an iPhone, or a digital camera- I don’t care! Just capture the memories!

So with Danielle and Rich’s second anniversary fast approaching how could I resist? We met at Earl Reservoir Park in Monroe, New York for some fun photos on the dock and snuggled in the woods. To say these two were naturals in front of the camera is an understatement. Their love is so clear to see and they know how to have fun together!

Happy Anniversary to Danielle & Richard! My wish for you is that in 50 years from now you are still this happy and in love!
